6. Maintain a shallow discharge cycle, but perform a deep discharge every 3 months to activate the long-term immobile material in the battery, a process known as "re-lighting."
7. Confirm that the battery is compatible with the lithium-ion charger, as using it with a LiFepo4 battery may cause the charger to overheat.
8. When charging, connect the battery to the charger cable first, then connect the charger to the AC power. After the battery is fully charged, disconnect the power and then the battery plug. Disconnecting the battery plug while charging, especially with a high charging current, can damage the device.
